The 2025 Scholarship Application is Now Open!
The CMS Education Foundation provides the Honors Scholarships for the benefit of Clovis High School students. All applications will be reviewed by the Scholarship Application Review Committee based upon specific criteria. The committee comprises education foundation directors, district deputy superintendent, and others deemed necessary by the Foundation Board of Directors. The foundation awards two scholarships in the amount of $5,000 each. Funds are distributed to the higher education institution to which the student scholarship recipients are accepted/enrolled for four consecutive semesters for $1,250 per semester. More detailed information will be provided to the two scholarship recipients after the Review Committee has made its selections.
Student Eligibility
- Students must be eligible for graduation during the current school year
- Have a minimum GPA of 3.5
- Minimum ACT score of 20 or a minimum SAT score of 1060.
To Include with Online Application:
- A list of academic honors, and/or activities (worth 45 points total, each worth 15 points)
- School academic or leadership awards, honors, or recognition and year(s) received.
- School activities such as, extra curricular activities, band membership, student government, school clubs, sports involvement, etc., and year(s) involved.
- Community service such as, volunteer work, employment, or membership in service clubs or groups outside of school and the year(s) performed.
- A list of schools the student is applying to in order of preference. Please include your status of acceptance with each school (i.e., “Accepted, “Waitlisted,” or “Have Not Yet Heard.”
- Three recommendations from the following (letters or recommendation from these individuals is optional, and not required; please see below):
- A school counselor or principal
- A Clovis Municipal Schools teacher
- An outside source (such as an employer, minister, or community service coordinator)
- Optional: During the application process, you will have an opportunity to upload letters of support (this section of the application is not scored).
Scholarship applications must be completed in full and submitted online by the deadline; applicants will be notified of the Foundation Scholarship Committee’s decision. For any questions and/or clarification, students may refer to the Clovis High School Guidance Office.
