Purpose
Education Initiative Grants are designed to inspire and reward innovative teaching. Whether you’re testing a new instructional method, launching a student-centered project, or trying something bold and creative in your classroom, these grants help bring your ideas to life.
Who Can Apply?
Any Clovis Municipal Schools employee—individuals or teams—who works directly with students or supports student learning is eligible to apply. Not sure? Let’s think outside the box together. New applications and fresh ideas are always welcome.
Have you already been funded for an Education Initiative Grant in the past? No problem! We encourage past winners to apply each year for new projects or the continuation of successful ones. Reapplying does not guarantee acceptance, as our selection committee judges each application fresh each year. If you have questions, please get in touch with us today.
What We Fund
We support projects that:
- Involve innovative instructional strategies
- Directly benefit students
- Begin and end within the current school year
- Can produce measurable outcomes through qualitative and quantitative means
- Tell a great story and highlight excellence in our community
Note: Applications for projects that include technology must be approved by the CMS Technology Department to ensure compatibility and alignment with district policies and infrastructure.
Funding Levels
- Up to $1,000 for individual teacher-led projects
- Up to $5,000 for team, department, or district-level initiatives
Grants are competitively awarded (limit one grant per school per cycle). Applicants are strongly encouraged to indicate how their project’s impact will be measured and reported back to the CMS Education Foundation. Awards are subject to available funding.
